Folks in Monticello plan a grand homecoming Saturday for a wounded member of the 48th Brigade.
Staff Sgt. Marty Brownlee was wounded earlier this month in a suicide bomber attack in Afghanistan, according to Lt. Col. George Fisher of the 48th.
Brownlee was one of five members of a Newnan-based Army National Guard unit injured in the bombing.
Fisher says the sergeant's injuries were not severe.
He says friends and family plan to welcome Brownlee home Saturday at 2 p.m. in Monticello's city square.
