Central Georgia Financial Center holds free financial literacy workshops

The Central Georgia Financial Center is holding free sessions in Macon to educate people about financial literacy.

Each session is held on the second floor of Macon's Washington Memorial Library.

The Georgia Financial Center says their goal is to educate one million families by the year 2020.

Associate Pginatchell Rondina says, "The United States is considered and known to be in the top ten in terms of wealth and number one terms of the economy, yet many families out there are still struggling financially.”

The workshops last about two hours and are open to anyone, no matter their age.

They say workshops include topics like debt management, building wealth, and retirement planning.

Following workshops are on June 14, June 21, June 28, and July 12 at 10 a.m. at 1180 Washington Ave.
