We stopped by his house several times to try to speak with him.. but never could reach him.
Earlier this year he was a Chief Deputy in the Wilcox County Sheriff's Office.
No matter the political party or plan for the future.. Each man says they're the best for the job to move the county forward.
     Brittiny Barber 13WMAZ Eyewitness News.
For one candidate to win they must get 50 percent of the vote... plus one.
If no one wins a majority....there will be a run-off on December 4.

As the first week of early voting winds down...elections supervisor elaine carr says the Bibb Board of Elections office saw a large turnout.
She says nearly a thousand voters a day came out to cast a ballots this week.
The line of voters outside the board of elections off Pio Nono Avenue today kept on growing.
Carr says the number of people coming out to vote is about the same as during the 2008 presidential race.
She says people who are 75 and older... or have a physical disability...can skip the lines.
"You get here about 7:30 or 8, be the first one in line. That way you're not gonna stand in line. Other than that, anytime during the day you come in, there's a line. And I can tell you that, as opposed to all my other elections, the presidential general is the highest turnout we ever hold."
And she says another way to skip the line is to vote via mail.

     Welcome back..
It's funky fruit Friday at Pearl Stephens Elementary in Warner Robins.
That means all 350 students in the school got to taste and learn about the fruit of the week.
Today.. It was all about the plum and its140 varieties... grown on every continent expect Antartica.
The lesson and taste test is part of a U-S Department of Agriculture program.
The U-S-D-A awarded Pearl Stephens more than 17-thousand dollars this year to pay for the weekly fruits and veggies... Plus serving supplies.
School dietician Lauren Koff says the goal is encourage healthy eating habits.
"The fresh fruit and vegetable program really gets kids to try new things. The whole point of trying new things is to include them in your diet later. The more you try them, the more you like them. You can figure out a few things you like, and a few things you don't."
Some of the other fruits the students have tried include starfruit... Pomegranates and pluots... Which are plums and apricots combined.
Koff says the school system is testing the program at Pearl Stephens... But hopes to expand it to other schools next year.

For hunters in Georgia, tomorrow is one of the biggest days of the year.  Tom George stopped by Bass Pro Shops this morning to find out how folks are getting ready for this year's deer season.
<just ready for it to get started.>

For deer hunters in Georgia, Saturday is the big day.
"The season starts tomorrow morning, 30 minutes before sunrise is the legal time, or official time that hunting season opens."
The season's already begun for primitive weapons including bow hunting, but Saturday is the start of firearms season
"Deer, duck, you name it, you know, do it all."
"We hunt in the backyard, so it takes me three minutes from the bed to the stand."

And this year, they say there's a reason to get excited.
"We have an excellent deer population in the state of Georgia. The state game laws have a very liberal bag limit ... Two bucks, ten does."

At Bass Pro Shop in Macon, they've seen a spike in hunters getting ready.
"We're checking out some bullets, and processing gear, hopefully get one in the morning."
"Maybe like a hat...."
"Just here checking out stuff for the dog... They got a good selection here."
And these hunters come as young as 9...
"Yeah, a lot of people do hunt that go to my school."
And today's record... 2 years old....
"Definitely getting him out in the woods..."
So if they could do, so could I....
'Alright so, how do I put these on here ... You just slip 'em on like you're doing a pair of pants."
Turns out there's a lot of gear that goes into the sport...
So after about five minutes of getting fitted up here at Bass Pro Shops, they tell me I pretty much have everything I would need .. Got my camo overalls here, got camo overalls here, you camo boots you can't really see, got ammo here, and of course, you got to stock up on your gun.
Maybe next time, I'll stick to just shooting video.
Before you hit the woods..make sure you have a proper hunting license.
In Georgia, they can be obtained either online or at local sporting goods stores.
