Macon coroner Leon Jones says one person died in a two car collision this morning on Mercer University Drive.
He says a Nissan Sentra turned into the path of a SUV.
Three men riding in the nissan went to the hospital and one person didn't survive.
Jones says they had to use the jaws of life to get the victims out of the vehicle.
28-year-old Hector Rios was pronounced dead at the scene.
Macon Police are asking for your help in finding two men in two separate armed robberies.
The first... A store clerk at the S and S Lottos on Shurling Drive told officers a black male demanded money and threatened her with a knife friday afternoon.
The alleged robber fled the store in a dark colored... ford... crown victoria.
The second... happened on Greenfield Road around eight friday night.
A woman told officers she was walking to her house when a black male stepped out of the bushes with a gun and demanded her purse... He also got away.
Both cases are under investigation and if you have any information on either of these incidents Macon Police ask you to call Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-crime.
Election day is just a few days away...and millions of Americans will get to cast their votes...for candidates on the national and local level.
We're following both political parties tonight...to see what they're doing to get your vote.
Austin Lewis spent some time with Bibb County Republicans who say they're not taking any vote for granted.
Bibb County Republicans are spending the weekend making that last pitch...for the G-O-P ticket.
Suzanne Wood, Chairman, Bibb County Republican Party: We're not taking anything for granted, we're going after that voter in a way we've never done before so we're hoping that's going to pay off in the long run.
Some of that work has paid off...with Central Georgians here...picking up yard signs...bumper stickers...and pins.
But Chairwoman Suzanne Wood says...they'll continue to work for voters in Bibb County...until polls close on election day.
Suzanne Wood, Chairman, Bibb County Republican Party: "We have targeted what we call the under performing voter, these are people who don't vote consistently in every election, you know they voted once and they skip a couple of elections. We're trying to get them to the polls"
One way they're doing that is meeting voters in person...County Commissioner candidate Robert Abbott...says he's talking about what he and other local Republicans would do if elected.
Robert Abbott: "We are packing packets with all of the candidates for all of the offices on the ballot for the Republican Party and we're going district by district street by street."
And volunteers will spend the weekend hitting the streets in Macon...hoping it will make the difference.
Stuart Griffin, Macon: "I think especially now with the next generating having this massive debt that's coming up on them and also on our constitutional liberties and things being eroded by not only federal government but by the local government as well."
<Cameron Burns, Macon: "Because my generation has to live with the decisions of the people that we're electing even now so I feel like it's my job to get out here and to help get a good man elected."
While local Republicans...say they think Governor Mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan will win the Peach State...they say they hope that voters will continue to vote Republican down the ballot on Tuesday.

And in the last push before elections...over at the democratic party's headquarters on poplar street.. volunteers are making the calls and hitting the pavement. Judy Le has that story.
Bibb County Democrats rolled out the phone banks and pounded the pavement. They hope to canvass three precincts before elections and the first stop is Rutland 1.
<we've noticed that there's a group of people there that have not voted and we don't have phone numbers there where we can call and knock on those doors>
Godfrey and East Macon are also on the list. The group rallied volunteers to make calls and also schedule rides for voters."
"We're getting the information and we're assigning them to a driver so they can start picking them up tuesday morning, taking them to the polls"
Chairman, Sarah Hunt, says she lined up 12 cars but will have at least 25 on election day.
Volunteer...Joann Payne...took to the streets in a different way.
"we're voting for Obama to be able to make things right"
Each of her six grandkids held up handmade signs. Each of her six grandkids held up handmade signs to support President Barack Obama.
Hunt and Payne volunteered time for a bigger cause and to get one message across....
"your vote counts, your vote is power"

The American Red Cross Chapter here in Macon are deploying two volunteers from the Middle Georgia area to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Elizabeth Wood spent the afternoon making sure her travel information was correct for deployment for the Red Cross on Sunday morning.
Wood along with Alisa Alexander will be leaving to help with the relief efforts from Hurricane Sandy.
The two will leave from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in the morning flying to Whit Plains, New York.
"there is a lot of devastation and I understand the area I'm going to still does not have power. Having been to several different other hurricanes I can imagine it usually very shocking when you are there first hand, so I'm expecting to see quite a lot of damage and quite a few people that are in need."
The two women will be deployed for 10 days.
Georgia College held their 11th Annual Potato Drop that helps benefit needy families in the counties of Baldwin, Wilkinson, and Jones.
The volunteer teams sorted the potatoes and loaded them on a truck to be shipped to different non-profit organizations in the community that will distribute the spuds out.
Video Journalist... Kimberly Burden caught up with the volunteers who were up to their heads in potatoes.
The Potato Drop will help feed 140,000 families around Baldwin County.
A Duluth car dealership is being investigated by Federal transportation officials... Because it allegedly sold a recalled vehicle without performing mandatory repairs on it.
Investigators say they are looking into at least one case of a Nissan Quest minivan sold by the Gwinnet Place Nissan dealer, in Duluth, Ga.
U.S. transportation laws bar dealers from selling recalled vehicles unless they perform necessary repairs.
The dealer's general manager, Lee Crumpton, says he was alerted to the issue early last week, and that the mistake was isolated to one vehicle.
He says nothing happened to the customer or the car, which has since been repaired by another dealership.

But when those products don't work the way they should... The company issues a recall to protect you.
Bose is recalling their Dual Voltage Cinemate two Home Theater Speaker Systems... because a component in the bass module can fail when used outside of the U-S in electrical outlets rated 220 volts or higher... Presenting a fire hazard to consumers.
The company has received two reports of the modules igniting when used in outlets in Europe... No injuries were reported.
The speakers were sold at U-S military exchanges and select U-S retailers from September 2009 to September 20-12 for around 8-hundred dollars.

Excel Industries is recalling their Hustler and BigDog Lawn Mowers because the fuel tank vent valve fitting can fail to seal and cause a fuel leak... Posing a fire hazard.
The company has received 152 incidents of the valve fittings failing... No injuries or property damage were reported.
The lawn mowers were sold at Hustler and BigDog dealers nationwide from September 20-10 to May 20-12 for between 209-hundred and 21-thousand dollars.

And Champion Power Equipment is recalling their portable generators because fuel can leak from the generator's carburetor... Posing a fire hazard.
The company has received 11 reports of the fuel leaking from the generators... Including eight reports of them catching on fire.
The generators were sold exclusively at costco wholesale stores nationwide from December 20-11 to July 20-12 for around 7-hundred dollars.
