HIRAM, Ga. - More than haircuts were being offered at a local barbershop, authorities allege.
A collection of drugs were recovered from a barbershop in Paulding County during a drug bust.
Cocaine, Methamphetamine, MDMA "Ecstasy" and Psilocybin Mushrooms "Shrooms," as well as a one .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol, ammunition and accessories were found when authorities with the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Paulding County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team served search warrants on April 4 to the Kingdom Kutz Barber Shop at 3601 Macland Road.
The sting was part of a months-long drugs and gun investigation into the business. When authorities arrived to serve the warrants, several people were inside and in the back of the business.
Three people were arrested and face several drug charges related to violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.
Michael Lyndon Strong, 36, is charged with possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute as well as possession of meth and cocaine.
Charles Edward Brown, 53, is charged with possession of mushrooms, meth and cocaine.
Darryl Cordell Floyd, 28, is charged with possession of cocaine.
Paulding County police said the investigation is ongoing and could lead to more charges. Anyone with information is asked to call the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force at (770) 646-9175.
