The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating two shooting incidents in Lake Wildwood earlier this week. A car was shot up in one of the incidents and someone's home was shot up in the other.

The first incident occurred Wednesday at about 1:50 p.m. on Abilene Trail, according to a sheriff's office incident report.

A resident called deputies after he heard gunshots. When he went outside, he noticed that his front passenger window was shattered, the report states. The resident also reported that a holstered handgun was stolen from the front passenger floorboard of the vehicle.

The deputy found three shell casings near the vehicle, the report states.

The second incident occurred at about 4:45 a.m. Thursday on Santa Fe Trail. A resident told police she thought she was dreaming after hearing gunshots.

She got up to check and found two bullet holes in the wall of her bathroom and drywall on the floor. The deputy collected the two shell casing. According to the report, the gunshots were likely fired at the home from the Surrey Road side of the property.
