A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office K9 died suddenly this week after only two months of service.
A post on the office’s Facebook page made the announcement Wednesday saying they were deeply saddened to hear about the death of K9 Kenzo.
Kenzo began serving only two months ago after being sworn in this June as a narcotics detection dog.
The post says there are plans in the works for a memorial ceremony and that the cause of death with be released pending an autopsy.
K9s are expected to have a service life of 7 years.
