If you're giving birth for the first time, you might have a lot of questions about what you need to do to make sure you child pops out in tip-top shape.
The Rosa Jackson Center, along with WellCare, is hosting a Community Prenatal Education Baby Shower where they plan to educate women on what to look out for during and after pregnancy.
Kendra Moore, the Director of the Rosa Jackson Center, says mothers like Taylor are the reason for their a community baby shower at the Rosa Jackson Community Center.
The purpose is to show support for new and expecting mothers while giving them information.
"It takes everyone in the village to work together, and this is something that I really live by. We want to support one another and support the people who are actually utilizing our facility and bring that sense of community together," says Moore.
Moore says that this event is for expecting mothers and fathers and women who gave birth within the last two years.
Prenatal care facts and information
The center is giving away gently used clothes, diapers, car seats and will have a variety of games for people to play.
The baby shower takes place this Saturday at the Rosa Jackson Community Center from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 pm.
