The Georgia Bulldogs took on the Florida Gators in Jacksonville Saturday afternoon in a game that fans of both teams eagerly await all season.

The city of Eatonton hosted its first tailgate party -- encouraging people to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the free entertainment.

The party was just getting started when we arrived and there weren't many people out tailgating just yet, but it was located at the Eatonton city center parking lot.

Andrew Simpson, Main Street director and project manager for the city, says they set up two TV's for the community to watch.

“Well a lot of people can't go to Jacksonville to see the Georgia-Florida game, so we want to have it here," said Simpson. "People who can't make it can come down here and watch the game and have a good time."

The War for the Oar ended in disappointment for Georgia fans as the Gators won 24-10.
