It's famous for fun, and that's what Central Georgians are having at the Georgia National Fair!
Families look forward to the fair every fall, but all that fun can come with a hefty price tag, but with a little planning, you can treat your family to some fair fun without breaking the budget.
It's a one-stop, 11-day fun fest that comes just once a year.
Tickets, concerts, and food can all add up pretty quickly, so let's try to save you some money.
Let's talk freebies first. Parking is free every single day.
If you have children ten years old or younger, they get in free.
It pays to plan ahead. If you buy your tickets ahead of time, it's $9 instead of $10 for adult admission.
Can't get all the fun in in one day? How about a two-day pass? That's $16 per person.
You say you're a fair fanatic who has to be there every single day, a season pass is $65 per person and you can come as often as you like, a savings of $45 over the two-week event. Remember, that covers your gate admission and the free concerts, but not the rides or food.
A $20 armband will get you on most rides as many times as you like, but it doesn't include speed, non-mechanical rides, agri-lift or boat rides.
On Terrific Tuesday, adults admitted for $8, plus you can buy an armband for $16. That gets you on most of the rides.
Wow Wednesday sees discounted gate admission for adults: $8, and for seniors, $6 plus $20 for armbands.
Who says that losing lottery ticket isn't worth something? On Thriller Thursday, October 13th, you can get $1 off gate admission if you bring that losing ticket in.
And finally, the final day of the fair, October 16th, it's WMAZ Armband Day. A $30 armband will get you on most rides, so make it count -- it'll be another year before fair fun returns.
