The rain didn’t stop the Macon-Bibb Fire Department from heating things up for their upcoming calendar.

Several firefighters spent the evening at the Guardian Center in Perry taking photos that will appear in their 2018 calendar. The 36 firefighters that will appear in the calendar were selected from 90 people that auditioned last week.

The money that is raised from the sale of the calendar will go to support Jay's Hope Foundation that supports local families with kids fighting cancer and The Fallen Firefighters Association.

Ryan Ramsdell was selected to be on the September page. He says it’s an honor because of September 11th, 2001.

“I think the whole fire department nationwide is a big brotherhood,” Ramsdell said. “That was a big day -- we lost 343 people -- so it means a lot to everybody out here.”
