For our Rise and Shine story this Tuesday, we wanted to feature someone here in Central Georgia who needs some help.
We had Lacey Duncan send us a message on Facebook about Donna Barfield.
Donna suffers from polycystic kidney disease.
At this point, Donna only has one kidney and it's failing her. She is in need of a second transplant.
She is a wife and mother of two young children. She is from Houston County and has been an active and involved member in the community having worked for both the Warner Robins Police Department, as well as the Board of Education for the past several years.
Her family and friends are encouraging anyone to get tested to donate.
You may have seen the flier circulating social media. All you have to do is go to emory.donorscreen.org
There you will be taken to the transplant center page where you will answer some screening questions.
If you see something like this that touches your heart, please share it with us.
Just send a message to us on Facebook or email us at eyewitnessnews@13WMAZ.com
