You can play a round of golf this Friday to help support Central Georgia families fighting childhood cancer.
The 2nd annual Jay's Hope Classic is Friday morning at Macon's Healy Point Country Club. The shotgun start is set for 9 a.m. Golfers will be divided into 3 flights, so everyone has a chance to win.
The cost is $400 for a team of 4. That gets you breakfast, lunch, and a gift bag. They're also raffling off a Big Green Egg.
The proceeds fund Jay's Hope's mission of supporting children battling cancer and their families.
"There are children battling cancer in every neighborhood and we have seen 4 children diagnosed in the past 2 weeks," says Stephanie Steinbart, development director for Jay's Hope. "Those are kids that are local, kids right here from the Middle Georgia area. You come play golf, the money goes directly to our families. It's a great event, it's a great time to come and support our fantastic mission that's grassroots, right here at home."
The weather looks to be cool but dry, a fantastic day to play some golf.
