The Macon-Bibb Fire Department is investigating three suspicious fires that were near each other Saturday night.
According to Fire Chief Marvin Riggins, the first fire happened around 10 p.m. Saturday and it was a structure fire at 2426 Second St., which is near the Family Dollar at the intersection of Houston Avenue and Eisenhower Parkway.
The second was in front of a home on Felton Avenue, where a mattress had been set on fire.
The third was at a vacant home on Jeff Davis Street, where a windowsill had been set on fire.
Riggins says no one was injured at any of the fires, but they believe the three are related because of the short distance between them.
Investigators haven’t yet determined how the fires started, but they remain under investigation.
