We're almost half way done with 2017, but dozens of Macon-Bibb firefighters are eagerly looking forward to the new year.

That’s because they're hoping to land a spot in the Middle Georgia Firefighter Calendar.

They’ve committed to a healthy life style for the last few months and finally got to show off their hard work.

90 fire fighters posed and flexed in front of the judges, who now have the tough task of narrowing that number to 36.

“The personality, the face, the smile, the eyes…just something that makes it stand out,” said judge Vera Carter.

Money raised from the calendars will be split between Jay's Hope, an organization helping central Georgia families whose children are dealing with cancer, and the Georgia Fallen Firefighter organization.
