A Macon man was robbed Tuesday in front of M&M Groceries on Montpelier Avenue after flaunting his money to the cashier.

An incident report says two deputies were dispatched to the store around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday for a robbery.

At the scene, the victim told deputies he came to the store with a $100 bill and ‘flaunted his money’ to the clerk at the window while he asked the clerk to break the bill.

As the victim was leaving, a man came up to him and asked for his wallet or he’d get shot in the face.

The robber then ran away after getting his wallet.

Surveillance footage validated the victim’s account.
