Cooler and drier air has settled in behind an unusual summer-time cold front that passed through the area on Saturday.

Behind it, temperatures have been a few degrees below normal in the afternoon, with the most noticeable difference being the lower humidity and cooler overnight temperatures. This morning, Macon tied the 20 year old record low temperature of 60 degrees around sunrise.

This afternoon, temperatures are expected to hit 90 with mostly sunny skies and low humidity. By Thursday, humidity and rain chances return to the forecast, but temperatures will remain below average in the mid to upper 80s.
