Crews are working to repair what the city is calling a major water main break in Byron.
City spokesperson Tiffany Peavy says the break happened around 2:30 Thursday afternoon on new Dunbar Road.
She says the break happened after a drop in water pressure caused a pipe to burst.
Peavy says very few people lost water.
Peavy says the water is back on, but the road will be closed until crews continue clean-up in the morning.
She is hoping it will be cleared by 11:00 Friday morning.
