Deputies arrested one of three men accused of snatching iPhones from a Macon phone store and leading deputies on a high speed chase.
According to a news release, deputies responded to a theft call at the Cricket Wireless on Pio Nono Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
They were told two men entered the store and asked about iPhones before snatching two off the counter and driving away in a silver vehicle.
Around 8 p.m., a deputy spotted a silver Infiniti on I-475 near Zebulon Road.
The driver refused to stop for the deputy and a chase began that ended near the Bolingbroke exit.
Two suspects got out of the car and ran away. A third inside the car was arrested.
He was identified as 22-year-old Jalen Ector, of Atlanta, and he is charged with theft by receiving stolen property and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
The two other suspects are still at large – one is dressed as a woman in a red wig and black shirt, the other was described as being ‘large’ and he was wearing a black shirt and baseball hat.
