One was shot to death and another wounded after someone fired shots into a Milledgeville apartment.
It happened around 4:45 a.m. Friday at the Cedaridge Apartments on Frank Bone Road.
Capt. Brad King of the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says someone tried to enter the apartment but failed and began shooting.
Lamarcus Jarrod Jones, 33, was struck and died inside the apartment, according to King.
A second man, Reginald Deon Harris, was shot in the arm and treated at a Macon hospital.
Both men were apparently asleep, according to King.
He said investigators are questioning Harris Friday afternoon.
Anyone with information on the case can call the Baldwin sheriff's office at (478) 445-4891.
This is the second homicide this year at the Cedaridge Apartments. In February, Kadeem Simons was found shot to death inside an apartment. An acquaintance, Levia Pace, was later charged with murder in the case.
