Milledgeville is gearing up for it's annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration, which officials say will have a larger presentation as well as a new location.

The celebration is scheduled for Saturday July 1, on the Central Georgia Technical College's Milledgeville Campus.

In previous years the fireworks show was held at the Milledgeville Mall, but mall management informed the city in March that they no longer would be hosting the event.

The city will use Zambelli Fireworks, located in Boca Raton, Fla. for this year's celebration.

The parking lot at the campus will be closed off for the event.

Suggested viewing areas for the fireworks include Walter B. Williams park and the parking lot of the Board of Education.
