Missing Michigan teen found in Macon

The girl had been missing since Wednesday, according to a Facebook post made by her mom.

A teen that was reported missing from Michigan was found in Macon-Bibb County.

Lt. Sean Defoe with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says that Leah Scanlon, 15, was traveling on a Greyhound bus going southbound on 1-75 when his office was able to apprehend the teen near Eisenhower Parkway.

Scanlon's parents reported her missing from her hometown in Michigan when the two couldn't get in touch with her while they were on vacation.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office was able to get in touch with the teen’s parents, who were in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina when Scanlon was reported missing.

Scanlon is now in custody.

Her parents are flying into Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta and driving down to Macon to pick up the teen.
