Junior Journalst Haleigh Howell surprised this week's top teacher in Bleckley County.
Ann Thornton has been teaching for 16 years and is currently a third grade teacher at Bleckley County Elementary.
Howell surprised Thornton in the cafeteria, but the student that nominated her -- Madison Sanders -- was absent.
Sanders wrote, “My teacher is the best. She teaches science and social studies. She is kind, caring, beautiful and everything else you can think of.”
Thornton says she just loves to see her students’ smiling faces every day.
