This weekend, a boy who has battled cancer will get to put on his camo and take the hunting trip of a lifetime.
It is all thanks to a Georgia organization called Hunting for the Cure.
They are a non-profit group that takes children who are currently fighting cancer or who are in remission out in nature for a fun, re-energizing experience.
All of the costs are covered by sponsors, including lodging and plane tickets, if the child is from out of town. lodging and everything. The child and their family simply get to come and enjoy!
On June 3, 12-year-old Wyatt from Tennessee will be meeting the group members in Laurens County for a hog hunt.
Tommy Windham is one of the organizers and says Wyatt has had three brain tumors in his young life.
Now, Windham wants to make sure he has a day where he does not have to worry about anything.
