Recurring Cherry Blossom events, shows beginning on opening day

The opening ceremony for the Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 kicked off at noon on Friday.

Here are some recurring events, beginning on opening day:

  • Lantern Light Tours

The Lantern Light Tours will be offered at the Ocmulgee National Monument March 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25. The tours will start every 10 minutes from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. each evening. The cost is $6 for anyone 13 and up, $1 for 6-12 and free for anyone under 5 years old.

  • Street Breakz

The street dancers will perform daily shows in Central City Park at 3 and 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3, p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival. The shows are free with park admission.

  • David "The Bullet" Smith: Human Cannonball Show

The daily shows are scheduled to take place in Central City Park at 3 and 6 p.m. Mondays through Friday and at noon, 3 and 6 p.m. on Sundays during the festival.The shows are free with park admission.

The festival and amusement rides will go from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
