In support of Hurricane Irma evacuations, Robins Air Force Base is providing temporary "bed down support" of aircraft, equipment and personnel, according to a news release.
Space is available for military and government agencies to park and lodge on the base until the hurricane clears the projected path, the news release states.
Navy, Marine and FEMA organizations have requested to come to Robins for hurricane evacuation support.
"As an inland location, Robins has the capability to safely accommodate evacuated units in specially designated aircraft and vehicle parking areas," the news release states. "In addition, personnel will be housed in building and dorm areas suited for hurricane evacuation."
