A popular Macon restaurant is reopening after it temporarily closed for renovations.
It’s been two weeks since the Rookery closed its doors to double the size of its kitchen.
Prior to the renovation, manager Matt Newton said the increase in kitchen size would allow the restaurant to process to-go orders during all hours of operation.
When the Rookery opens its doors for lunch at 11 a.m. Thursday, ‘phase two’ of remodeling will begin.
Phase two consists of adding private dining rooms, more seating, another bar, and a stage.
