Some kids at Lake Joy Primary School learned when it comes to Santa, it is not just about being good or bad -- sometimes, you have to try other tactics.

In Jodi Short's kindergarten class, kids are learning about letter writing as well as persuasive writing, so what better time to put the two to the test then to persuade Jolly Ol' Saint Nick to get exactly what they want?

The kids wrote the letters about a month ago, and Friday, Santa replied, flying over the school in an airplane.

Amelia Rush says she was shocked to see Santa in an airplane.

"It was kinda cool. I thought that Santa used a sleigh, not an airplane! Maybe he only uses a sleigh when he's delivering presents to people. Maybe he uses the airplane when he's not delivering presents," Amelia said.

The class has been writing letters for about 12 years.
