UPDATE: The names of the victims have been released. According to the Bibb Couny Sheriff's Office, the first victim was Dominique Adkins, 21, of Macon. The second victim was Arid Simmons, 22, of Macon.

Adkis was shot in the right foot, and is listed in stable condition. Simmons was struck in the head, and is listed in critical condition. Both victims were taken to Navicent Health.

Just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, Bibb County Sheriff's Deputies received reports of a fight inside Club Status. The fight was reported to continue outside the club.

During the fight in the parking lot, the unknown suspect started shooting and struck the two victims.

UPDATE: Crews are reopening lanes on Pio Nono Avenue.

At around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, Bibb County deputies responded to a call about a large fight outside Club Status on Pio Nono Avenue in South Macon. That's according to Sgt. Linda Howard with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Arriving on the scene, deputies were advised that two people had been shot. It is not clear how severe their injuries are. Both victims were transported to the medical center Navicent Health.

Sgt. Howard says the northbound lanes of Pio Nono Avenue near the scene are blocked until 7 a.m.

The gunman is still on the loose. Investigators don't have a description at this time. Anyone with information should call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
