A Soperton woman was arrested in the parking lot of a Dublin Walmart when officers found her unresponsive in her car.

An incident report from the Dublin Police Department says a corporal was requested by 911 at the Walmart on US Highway 80W around 1 p.m. Monday.

Once the corporal arrived, he found 43-year-old Bonnie Colleen McDaniel unresponsive in her silver 2014 Nissan Sentra.

EMS opened her car door and she began speaking.

She told responders her car was dead, so the responding corporal jumpstarted it.

The report says he then ran her license and found she was wanted in Toombs County on a failure to appear in court for a shoplifting charge.

While she was being arrested, the corporal asked if there was anything illegal in the car she wanted to tell him about.

She admitted she had taken some ‘stuff’ from a female friend friend that messes with drugs and that it was in the front seat.

The corporal opened the white purse on the seat and found: a pipe, a set of scales, jeweler’s bags, a razor blade, a glass bottle full of brown liquid, and a baggie with a large crystal-like rock.

On the floorboard was a black purse with colored plastic containers holding crystal-like material inside.

McDaniel was taken to the Laurens County jail and charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The county narcotics unit tested the crystal-like substance and positively identified it as crystal meth – there were 76 grams in total, which equates to roughly 22 8-balls.
