A teacher at Rutland High School is on administrative leave after he shoved a student during school on Thursday afternoon.

The altercation happened during 7th period, between 1:45 and 2:35 p.m. when the male teacher asked a student wandering around the classroom to return to his seat, according to Bibb County Schools spokesperson Stephanie Hartley.
