A 17-year-old was arrested Friday and charged with breaking into cars in south Macon.
A news release says deputies responded to a call of a man looking into cars in the 2600-block of C Street around 6 a.m. Friday.
When deputies arrived, they saw a man that fit the description given by someone in the neighborhood.
When the deputies tried to stop him, the man – identified as 17-year-old Ruben Gibson – he ran off and led them on a foot chase.
After being questioned, investigators discovered he had broken into two cars in the area of C Street and Henrietta Street.
Gibson was charged with entering auto and was released Monday on a $2,840 bond.
