The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a Macon Dollar General that happened Monday night.

A news release says two men with handguns entered the store at 3824 Pio Nono Ave. around 10 p.m. and ordered everyone to get on the floor.

One of the men told an employee to open the safe, but the employee couldn’t open the safe.

The suspects instead took the cash drawer and ran away.

As a customer started to leave the store, the suspects shot behind them hitting the windows of the Cricket Wireless next door.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
