For the second time in two nights, a worker was shot to death at a Macon business.

This time, a wing shop on Pio Nono Avenue.

It was at the Hot Wings Plus on Pio Nono Avenue where 39-year-old Jian Fang Wang was shot to death during a robbery.

According to Bibb County's Lieutenant Randy Gonzalez, Wang was leaving the restaurant with two other employees around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

Gonzalez says as the employees reached their cars, a man emerged from behind the building, approached Wang's car and shot inside the vehicle several times.

Investigators say the shooter then took a bag believing to contain money from the business.

Wang was taken to the Medical Center Navicent Health and died from multiple gunshot wounds.

And on Tuesday night, Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at the L&C Convenient Store on Hillcrest Blvd.

According to Lieutenant Gonzalez, when deputies arrived at the store, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and the cash register was open and emptied out.

Chief deputy coroner Lonnie Miley says the man was 42-year-old Brijeshkumar Patel, who also passed away from his injuries.

We spoke to several people who work in businesses nearby and they told me this happening so close to their work place concerns them.

One man says he hopes to get a security guard or police officer to help guard their business.

Another says he will be using the buddy system when he's leaving his late night shift.

The suspect's vehicle is possibly a 2016 or 2017 Toyota Camry or Corolla and may be displaying a temporary tag.

Anyone with information on either shooting can call Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

Two Macon businesses remain closed Thursday morning.

Two customers found Brijeshkumar Patel, 42, laying on the floor behind the counter just after 10 p.m. He was bleeding and suffering from several gunshot wounds, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's office news release.

Patel was wounded during a robbery at the store last year after a gunman shot him in the leg after stealing money from the business.
