United in Pink, a nonprofit out of Macon, is celebrating 10 years of helping breast cancer victims and their families.

On Sunday, the group held an event to announce that in the last 10 years they have raised over $1,000,000.

Executive director Laura Paxton says they take every dollar they fundraise and use it to help those affected by breast cancer.

Paxton says they work with over 600 families in 30 counties across Georgia.

“When they're first diagnosed, we provide some comforting items. We provide meals when they've had surgery, but it’s really about a relationship with the family and customizing care based off of that relationship,” says Paxton.
