UPDATE: The woman who was found dead at a Macon motel Thursday night has been identified as Trisha Dannette, 32.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said she may be from Telfair County and he has not been able to contact her family.

No foul play is suspected in her death. Anyone with information about her is asked to call Jones at (478) 256-6716.

A woman died at the America's Best Inn on Harrison Road in Macon Thursday night.

The 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead shortly before 7 p.m.

Authorities are not releasing her name until family can be notified. They also are calling the death, 'suspicious.'

Police say a man was in the room with her. He called 911 and was being held at the scene, but no charges had been filed.

Authorities would not release details on the man.

No motel visitors heard or saw anything related to the death, according to a Macon-Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputy at the scene.

Lonnie Miley, the county’s chief deputy coroner, says they are still investigating.

“What we have is a suspicious death. We don't have a specific cause of death, but certainly with her age it was a suspicious death,” Miley said in the parking lot.

Miley also said he believed the woman had been dead a few hours before he arrived. He explained that the area was known to law enforcement for drug activity, but would not say if this death was related to drug activity.

No arrests have been made or charges have been filed.

An autopsy will be scheduled Friday.
