Pulaski County's sheriff says investigators believe they've found the weapon used in Tuesday's double homicide.
Pulaski Sheriff Danny Brannen said the 9-millimeter gun was found near a pond on Sandridge Church Road around 10:30 a.m. Thursday. That's where Kelvin Thompson and Robdreckious Quianton were shot to death early Tuesday.
The suspect accused in the case, 24-year-old Dennis Penix, was in court for his first appearance hearing Thursday and advised of his rights. He's being held without bond on two counts of malice murder.
The weapon is being sent to the GBI crime lab for testing.
