Woman pinned to floorboard, rescued from vehicle after single-vehicle accident in Perry

There were also two children and a driver who had minor complaints of injuries.

A woman was trapped in a vehicle after a single vehicle accident on Friday morning.

The call for the accident came in around 5:31 a.m., according to a Perry Fire and Emergency Services after action report.

First responders found a woman with serious injuries trapped in her vehicle on Interstate 75 near mile marker 135.

During the accident, the guardrail went through the passenger door and into the entire vehicle. According to the report, this severely injured the passenger and pinned her to the floorboard of the driver's side of the car.

The guardrail had to be cut to release the woman from the vehicle. After about 20 minutes, the victim went into shock and after an emergency maneuver, she had to be manually pulled from the wreckage.

Houston EMS paramedics and a helicopter crew took over after she was pulled from the car.

There were also two children and a driver who had minor complaints of injuries. A separate ambulance was called in for them.

We are working to get an update of the woman's condition at this time.
