Getting to the end zone with speed and making incredible catches is the norm for Peach County's Kearis Jackson.
According to 247 Sports, he is a 4-star wide receiver and is ranked the 14th best player in the state. He has grabbed the attention of the top programs in the country.
Jackson trimmed his list down to eight schools -- with five in the SEC.
On Saturday, friends, family and teammates were all at his house to find out where he would play next.
At 4:30 p.m., Jackson rode in on top of a gold Range Rover sporting the UGA’s red and black with a golden smile, and the question was answered.
But just in case some had any doubts, Jackson took the mic and gave the Dawgs something to bark about.
"Go Dawgs," Kearis yelled into the microphone with his audience huddled around him. “It's time for a new era. I am taking my talents to Athens and I am fully committed to the G."
He picked UGA over schools like Florida, Auburn, Ohio State, FSU, Michigan, LSU, and Alabama.
"I mean it's the whole team, its right up the road, and not that far. You see all the Georgia fans out here today, I made the best decision of my life today,” said Jackson.
Jackson said he made his mind up after visiting Alabama's campus, and that's when he knew he wanted to stay in the Peach State.
"Georgia is home man. I mean I love everything about Georgia, it’s best for me and I did what is best for my family, and I am excited to be a Dawg now. I got a little emotional and everybody cries sometimes. It was a big decision. I mean I love everybody out here and all the support and I am just happy I can't even say nothing else,” said Jackson.
