The Mercer men's soccer team improved to 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Conference after coming away with a 2-1 win in extra time against Furman.
Mercer got on the board late in the first half when Max Poore sunk a penalty kick. Connor Antley drew a foul in the box to set up the kick.
Furman would score the last goal of regulation in the 77th minute, which sent the game into extra time. That's when Will Bagrou scored a goal in the 97th minute to give the Bears the win. It's Bagrou's 6th goal of the season.
The Bears are on the road for their next match against UNCG.
