Eyewitness News Anchors

Frank Malloy joined 13WMAZ in May, 1982, as Sports Director. It's a position he held until the Fall of 1993 when he switched chairs and started anchoring Eyewitness News at 5:00. Full Bio
Leah Johnson joins 13WMAZ Eyewitness News as co-anchor of 13WMAZ Eyewitness News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. with Frank Malloy and Chief Meteorologist Ben Jones. Full Bio

Lorra Lynch-Jones joined 13WMAZ Eyewitness News as a reporter in April 2005. Lorra moved to Central Georgia from Sherman, Texas where she began her broadcast reporting career. Lorra is a native of Marietta, Georgia. Full Bio

Suzanne traveled north from the Sunshine State in 1994 to work at 13WMAZ. She began her broadcasting adventures at a cable station in her hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida. At Vision Cable, she hosted a community affairs show, and entertainment show and a news magazine program. She also filled in for the sports anchor. Full Bio

Tyler Pearson is happy to be back in his native Georgia. Tyler grew up in the northwest part of the Peach State, but has been away for too long. That's why he's happy to join WMAZ and the Heart of Georgia. Full Bio
Carly Flynn Morgan joined the 13WMAZ Eyewitness News team in May 2007 as a Reporter/Videojournalist. She took over as the Weekend Evening Anchor in February 2009. Carly caught the news bug when she anchored the televised morning announcements at her high school. Full Bio

Eyewitness News Meteorologists

Ben Jones is Chief Meteorologist for 13WMAZ Eyewitness Weather. He provides weather weekdays for 13WMAZ Eyewitness News at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. Ben joined the 13WMAZ Eyewitness News Team in October 1997. He started out anchoring the weekend shows and weekday Mornin' and Midday shows. Full Bio

Jason Disharoon is pleased to start his on-air career as 13WMAZ's weekend meteorologist. A lifelong native of Georgia, Jason comes to Macon by way of Douglasville, a suburb about 20 miles west of Atlanta. Full Bio

Sonya Stevens is the morning and noon meteorologist here at WMAZ and the newest addition to the weather department. She comes to us from WWAY in Wilmington, North Carolina.Full Bio

Well known throughout Central Georgia as "Mike Fuller - the Magician", Mike completed his coursework through Mississippi State for his degree in Meteorology in 2007. He began filling in at WMAZ in December of 2007. Full Bio

Eyewitness News Reporters

Randall Savage is a Special Assignment Editor for 13WMAZ Eyewitness News, and he hosts the public affairs and issues program "Close Up," which airs Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. on 13WMAZ. Randall joined the Eyewitness News Team in January 2001 after working twenty-nine years at The Macon Telegraph. Full Bio

 

Jennifer Bellamy joined 13WMAZ in June 2008 as a Multimedia Journalist. An Atlanta native, Jennifer is excited about being one of Central Georgia's newest residents. Full Bio

 

Stephanie Susskind is excited to start her broadcasting career as a Multimedia Journalist at 13WMAZ. However, her love for reporting began a long time ago when she was just 10 years old doing the Elementary School morning announcements! Bofta Yimam joined 13WMAZ Eyewitness News as a Multimedia Journalist in January 2009. Before her arrival in Central Georgia, Bofta worked as a Reporter and Anchor at WDNN-TV in Dalton, GA, though she originally hails from the Maryland-DC Metropolitan area. Full Bio
 
Vanessa Ruffes joined the 13WMAZ Eyewitness News team as a Multimedia Journalist in April 2009. Before coming to Middle Georgia, Vanessa interned at WAGA-TV and WXIA-TV in Atlanta, GA. Full Bio
 
Darnay Tripp joined 13WMAZ as Sports Anchor in September 2009 from KCFW in Kalispell, Montana. After spending two years in the beautiful-- and often bitter cold-- surroundings of Northwest Montana, Darnay is thrilled to have the opportunity to cover sports in Central Georgia. Full Bio

Jeff Dudley

Jeff Dudley was named President and General Manager of 13WMAZ in January 2009. He joined 13WMAZ in August 2001 to lead the station's promotion, programming and community relations departments. Jeff joined 13WMAZ from W*USA-TV, Gannett's CBS affiliate in Washington D.C. He joined W*USA-TV in September 1997 as Promotion Manager and served as Director of Marketing and Promotion for W*USA-TV beginning in March 1998. Full Bio

 

Frank Shurling

With more than 20 years of television sales experience in Central Georgia, Frank Shurling made his way to 13WMAZ in October 2001. Frank says the parts of his position as General Sales Manager he enjoys the most are establishing relationships with the station's clients and helping the account executives plan effective commercial schedules for those clients.

Jeff Ofgang

Jeff Ofgang joined 13WMAZ and 13wmaz.com as News Director in November 2005. Most recently, he was news director at the CBS affiliate in Yuma, Arizona; executive producer in Bakersfield, California; and a writer, political producer and segment producer in Los Angeles.

Don Buckindail

Don Buckindail was named New Media Manager for 13WMAZ in August 2005. Prior to that Don served as News Executive Producer. Don is responsible for all aspects of 13WMAZ.com and for helping reach people anywhere, any time through the multiple platforms of 13WMAZ.

Donna Reeves

Donna Reeves joined 13 WMAZ in December 1995. She was hired as a Research Director in the sales department and then was the National Sales Assistant for 9 years. She moved into the position of Traffic Manager in April 2007.

Amy Drury

Amy Drury joined 13WMAZ in June 2007. She has extensive business, accounting and human resource management experience. After graduating in 1992 from State University of New York College @ Buffalo she worked in beauty supply distribution for Beauty Systems Group, which relocated her to the Macon area over 7 years ago.
