Courtney Lyle joined the 13WMAZ sports team in May 2012 as a sports anchor/multimedia journalist.
Before moving to Macon, Courtney spent two summers working at ESPN in Bristol, Conn. She was a member of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Primetime crew, spent some time working on Major League Baseball and the Summer Xgames in Los Angeles. In August 2011, Courtney was the sideline reporter for high school football games on WVLT in Knoxville, Tenn.
Courtney graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a degree in Sports Journalism and a minor in Cinema Studies. During her time on Rocky Top, she worked for the Athletic Broadcasting department, specializing in Lady Vol Athletics. She produced and reported for"The Pat Summitt Show" and hosted the Vol Network's spring show "Inside the Orange."
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Courtney is not a country music fan, but is a huge sports fan. She grew up going to Tennessee games and cheering for her favorite teams on TV.
Courtney credits her high school broadcasting teacher, the late Mark Madison, with fostering her love for broadcasting and pushing her to follow her dreams.
When she's not covering sports for 13WMAZ, Courtney enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and watching Sportscenter.
