Macon Police arrested a suspected in a robbery that happened at SunTrust Bank on Pio Nono Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Macon police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet said 57 year-old Ricky Jackson entered the bank around 12:15 Tuesday afternoon and handed a teller a note demanding money.
He ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Gaudet said officers developed leads and placed a lookout on the suspect within the department.
That led to a positive identification of Jackson late Tuesday afternoon and his capture.
Jackson was charged with a Superior Court Probation Violation and business robbery by intimidation.
Police Chief Mike Burns commended his officers saying " I'm proud of every officer who had a hand in the arrest. It's one thing to solve a case, another to do it with the speed we saw today."
