Macon Police Make Drug Arrests at Two Homes

Macon police arrested six on drug charges and cited three others after SWAT teams raided two homes last week.

According to a news release, Macon's Narcotics Unit, SWAT and Sstrike teams joined with a Twiggs County sheriff's deputy and a probation officer to coordinate a sting operation on two homes on Spencer Circle.

That's off Rocky Creek Road and Pio Nono Avenue in south Macon.

Executing a search warrant at 3778 Spencer Circle, officers recovered cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the release says.

During a probation search on 3890 Spencer Circle, officers seized marijuana and a firearm, police say.

According to the release:

 

Police charged Edward Lavarus Davison, 32, with possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute. He was released July 28.

Marcus Jermaine Sandifer, 35, was charged with cocaine possession with Intent to Distribute, and arrested on bench warrants for child support violations. He remains in jail at this time.

Tony Lee Jenkins, 33, has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent distribute. He also had an outstanding Bibb Sheriff's Office warrant. He was released July 28.

Prentice Bonner, 28, was charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute and released July 28.

Corey Devon Sparks, 25, was charged with being present where drugs are used, kept or sold. 

Travis Damon Terry, 28, was charged with possession of cocaine.

It is unclear whether suspects in the two homes were working together but officials are not revealing details. 

Spokeswoman Jami Gaudet said there were "specific reasons" for the simultaneous sting operation on the two homes, but she could not comment further.

Police cited three people, Dania Jackson, Tarisha Mays and Chantice Smith with for present where drugs are used, kept or sold, the release says.
