'Shipping Wars' reality star Roy Garber dies

Roy Garber, a popular cast member of the reality show Shipping Wars, has died, according to a Facebook post from the show's official page.

Variety and TMZreport the 49-year-old had a heart attack.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy's loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed," the Facebook post reads, accompanied by a photo of Garber.

The A&E reality show, which follows different carriers who transport items that others traditionally can't (or won't), just finished its fifth season. Garber was the owner/operator of Arbie's Team Transport in New Hampshire, and he was one of the top earners in the country, according to his cast page on A&E's website.

The bio describes Garber as a "jack-of-all-trades and a major know-it-all. From TIG welding to catching alligators, he seems to have experience with everything and hasn't found a load or situation he couldn't tackle (and isn't afraid to tell you so)." He raised his son Travis by himself for more than 18 years.
