The man known as "America's Oldest Teenager" has died. A spokesman confirmed Dick Clark's death Wednesday afternoon. He was 82.
Clark is best known as host of "American Bandstand," a dance show that ran from 1957 until 1989. Clark also hosted the game show, "$25,000 Pyramid" in the 1980's. Dick Clark Productions was also behind made-for-TV movies and the television series, "American Dreams."
Clark remained a fixture on television as the host of "New Year's Rockin' Eve" through the turn of the 21st century. He suffered a major stroke that limited his participation in the show in recent years.
