The VeryVera Show
Vera Stewart was a bright-eyed girl with a lot of dreams and every intention of making them happen. Armed with a degree in Home Economics Education from the University of Georgia she took her love of teaching to the classroom, enjoying 4 years with high school students in culinary arts. The birth of her first son led her from her students back home, where her cottage industry catering business was born. The event that put her catering business on the map was the inaugural luncheon for Governor Joe Frank Harris in 1983 and in 1984 the VeryVera name was crafted. Continuing her growth, she created a multifaceted catering and mail-order business with national sales. Building a strong platform for her love of teaching, Vera fashioned the VeryVera Cooking Camp that is still selling out yearly and will be on its 13th year of operation in the summer of 2016. Not only are the children repeatedly excited for this camp each year but also parents enjoy it because of the principles and ideals of respect and etiquette it instills in their young ones.

Today, Vera has grown the relationship with her fan base by creating The VeryVera Show, a lifestyle and cooking show based on her motherly roots and classic recipes. Now in its 5th season and premiering in over 5 metropolitan cities, this show has received 2 GABBY Merit Awards for Best Locally Produced Show in Georgia. Celebrity chefs such as Tyler Florence, Virginia Willis, the Lee Brothers, and Carrie Morey have appeared and even more southern celebrated chefs and icons continue to bring quite a bit of flair to the program. Vera's southern hospitality and warm recipes will have you tuning in each week for more.
