Macon police are resuming their search for in the murder case of Mercer Law Graduate Lauren Giddings.

13WMAZ's Candace Adorka reports that officials returned to Gidding's apartment complex this morning with two German Shepherd cadaver dogs to search for clues.

Macon police say a volunteer search from Dooly County is helping with the search this morning.

She says officials say they are retracing some of the place they have already searched and expanding the search in other areas.

A police news release says they searched several other locations, including the area surrounding the apartment complex, Rose Hill Cemetery, the area along the Ocmulgee River and nearby railroad tracks and Baconsfield Park, where Giddings often jogged.

This morning police have searched around Gidding's apartment complex, around the house directly next to the apartments, and around parts of the Mercer Law School campus.

Police say they will continue to search until they have covered all the area that they plan to or until the weather gets too hot for the dogs.
