Music soothes the savage beast. It's the poetry of the air! It's the medicine of the mind. "Music is the universal language of mankind." And that, my friends, is a Longfellow quote. That guy knew what he was talkin' about, right?! Now here's what Scene 13's talking about...
This Friday night at the Macon City Auditorium it's the Tubman Museum's annual event - All That Jazz! And this year, it's a little extra special. In addition to the food, fun and dancing, some pretty big names take the stage for an amazing concert! Alex Bugnon plus R&B legends The Manhattans will both grace the stage.
And since All That Jazz is more of an actual concert this go 'round you can not only purchase tables on the floor, you can grab balcony seats, too! To find out where you can grab tickets now and for more event info, get yourselves online to the Tubman Museum. The good times begin at 7pm!
Now we head down to Byron, where one incredible night of music awesomeness takes place this Friday!
Welcome The Kingdom Heirs! Dollywood's premiere southern gospel quartet! When Dollywood became Dollywood 27 years ago these guys become the resident gospel group and, well, they've been gospelin' it up ever since.
Now you get a chance to see them right in your own Middle Georgia backyard! Byron Baptist Church invites you to come on out and experience The Kingdom Heirs in concert one night only. Doors open at 6pm and the music kicks off at 7pm. Call (478) 951-7272 for more details.
And also on the concert circuit...

Last on the Friday night line-up, the Douglass Theatre boasts a little bit of bluegrass in the way of Monroe Crossing. These guys and a girl are phenomenal and they'll be on stage at 7:30pm.

Saturday night, the Cavern in Warner Robins offers you up an evening of rock a la Homeless Hill. The rocking commences at 8pm.
