NEW YORK (AP) - It may seem at times that everybody has an iPhone - especially if you don't. But truth is, users of the Apple smartphone are in the minority.
Research firm IDC says there were four Android phones for every iPhone shipped in the second quarter of this year.
That's up from the ratio of 2.5 to 1 in the same period last year.
The gains among Android phones come largely at the expense of BlackBerry phones made by Research in Motion in Canada and Symbian phones made largely by Nokia.
Each of those companies saw their market share drop below 5 percent.
